Bex has sung at venues across the country, including theatres in London’s West End and at Glyndebourne Opera House. She set up The bb collective in 2006 with Blonde Bex and has loved every minute of the journey so far!
Bex has been recording, writing, producing and performing music for fifteen years; she co-founded The bb Collective after moving to London from her hometown of Sheffield.
Although starting her career with a solid classical training, she has since gone on to sing in a vast array of musical genres, her favourites being folk, soul, motown and acoustic. She has sung lead vocals in several bands over the years, most notably Ashbury, who released two albums which she co-produced.

What is included in the standard price of the band?
Our standard price includes up to 6 hours onsite and 2 or 3 sets of fantastic live music. The sets can be divided to suit your event, but we generally suggest 2 x 1 hour sets or 3 x 45 mins. The price also includes a sound engineer, to ensure the sound quality is as good as possible all night long, full PA and music played through our system for the band’s breaks. We always aim to keep our prices as competitive as possible!
Are there any additional costs?
When you enquire about hiring The bb collective we will quote you our standard price plus the expense costs specific to your event. As with other bands, expenses include travel and accommodation (if necessary) and a small waiting charge if there is a very long wait between set up and performance. There will be no more hidden costs!
What do you wear?
The band and singers always dress appropriately for your event, and discuss what would be most suitable with you beforehand. DJs and evening dress for black tie events, or smart casual clothes for more relaxed occasions – we will work with you to get the right look.
Where do you go?
Anywhere! We are based in London but are happy to travel for an event.
Can you provide music between sets?
Of course. We have a good selection of tunes for background music during dinner and to keep people on the dancefloor between our live sets. Alternatively you can provide us with a cd or Ipod containing songs of your choice which we can plug in through our system.
Do you learn special requests?
We are happy to learn a new song for any event. We are often asked to learn numbers for a bride and groom’s first dance, but are also happy to learn special songs for other events.
What stage size do you require?
Ideally we prefer no smaller than 4m x 3m for the 6 piece or 5m x 4m for the 8 piece line up. We are always happy to speak to venues directly about the stage size available.
Do you have Public Liability insurance?
Yes we do. Out equipment is also fully PAT Tested. If your venue needs to see copies of these certificates, just let us know.
Anything else?!
Lights are also available at an extra cost so please ask for a quote if you are interested in lighting up the dancefloor.
We can provide a full techincal rider and stage plan if required
