It's been a lovely start to 2015 with a few gigs to keep us warm and exciting plans for the rest of the year taking shape.
We kicked off the year in style, with Bombshell being asked back for a repeat performance by Palette Events and Ernst & Young at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. The event had a sports theme and Bombshell performed modern hits and classic tunes for the 300 delegates. The band had an extended line up with the addition of another vocalist, sax and trumpet which meant was perfect in the big space. The evening ended in an epic limbo contest and dance off - our sort of party!
Proving Bombshell's versatility, another great gig this month took place with a much smaller 4 piece line up at Fredericks in Islington. As this was a bar mitzvah there was a wide range of ages and musical tastes to accommodate - everything from the 7 - 70! The family didn't want a band that was too loud or took up lots of space so we suggested a neat four piece line up of one vocalist, piano, bass and cajon drum. It worked really well in the space and is a great option to consider if you're lacking in space or want a lower volume band to dance to.
Coming up in 2015 we've got the National Wedding Show in London on the 20th - 22nd February. We are exhibiting at stand H21 and look forward to talking to lots of brides and grooms about their upcoming wedding plans. We've then got lots of great events in the diary for all our acts - should be a busy and exciting bb year!
Hope your January has been far from blue.
